The coastline is made up of the ever-changing array of open sandy beaches, hidden coves, soaring cliffs and windswept dunes. Our base is the impressive Fishguard Bay Hotel, Goodwick on the outskirts of Fishguard, which occupies a cliffside position with magnificent sea views.

Morning collection from home to join our coach for the drive to the western tip of South Wales and our hotel by late afternoon.



This morning we visit Britain’s smallest city, St. Davids - a popular location for pilgrims and artists alike. Next to its 12th century cathedral stands the magnificent ruins of the medieval Bishop’s Palace.This afternoon we skirt along the coast and travel inland for an included visit to enchanting Picton Castle, a half fortified manor house and half medieval castle set in 40 acres of stunning gardens.

Tenby is our destination today. One of the UK’s finest coastal holiday resorts, Tenby has retained its natural charm, narrow streets, harbour and beautiful beaches. Tenby is steeped in ancient history and surrounded by an imposing medieval stone wall.

We head along through the Pembrokeshire countryside and across the border to Cardiganshire or Ceredigion to give its official name these days. Our first visit is the market town of Cardigan, with its unspoilt townscape, rich heritage and selection of independent and quirky shops. Later we continue through the picturesque Teifi Valley to the National Wool Museum for an enjoyable and informative guided tour and learn about the story of wool.

Departing Goodwick after breakfast we commence our return journey making suitable comfort stops en route. We return to Cambridgeshire early evening where our door-to-door service will take you home.

With its origins as a 19th century mansion and a former flagship Great Western Railway hotel, today it is a delightful 3-star hotel set in a location overlooking Fishguard Bay with elegant features and a welcoming atmosphere. With its impressive exterior façade, spacious reception area leading to a sweeping staircase, the hotel has a restaurant, lounge and a bar with sea views. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Wi-Fi is available in several public areas of the hotel. The hotel also has a lift.
