Thriplow Daffodil Weekend

Thriplow Daffodil Weekend

Thriplow Daffodil Weekend started in 1969 because the church was in need of major roof repairs. Residents decided to open up their gardens and made cups of tea from their own houses. They made an amazing £206 and were so delighted they decided to do it all again the following year – and so Thriplow Daffodil Weekend was born.

Now every year up to 10,000 people visit Thriplow for the annual Daffodil Weekend. Step back in time & walk the beautiful traffic-free lanes and connecting footpaths, visiting residents 'Open Gardens', Craft Barns, Marquees, Stalls and Demonstrations,  the Daffodil Weekend is a village community working together. Virtually everyone in the village does something towards the event, be it baking cakes, helping serve teas, working in the car park or picking up litter at the end of the day creating a  warm and friendly atmosphere & bringing off one of the best loved charity events in Cambridgeshire.
