Every Friday the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford comes alive when High Street & Broad Street are lined with stalls selling everything from fresh farm produce to clothing, flowers freshly baked bread and tempting cakes. After spending the morning exploring the Market and shops we transfer to Rutland Water in the afternoon for a cruise on the Rutland Belle.
Set in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside Stratford-Upon-Avon is brimming with olde English charm and famous the world over as the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Spend the first part of your day exploring this delightful town before taking to the water aboard the Rita Ellen for a 1.5hr Cruise complete with commentary and an Afternoon Tea.
Bringing to life Duxford’s finest hour as an important Second World War fighter station defending Great Britain from aerial attack in 1940 the Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show will roar to the sound of Rolls-Royce Merlin engines overhead whilst on the ground the sights will include the Home Front Second World War themed village, making this event the Great British day out of 2018.
