Still very much a working fishing port, many of the town’s shops are located in buildings dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. We include visits to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Llanhydrock House and the seaside town of Polperro, as well as a train ride on the Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway.
Known as the jewel of the English Riviera, Torquay is famed for its mild climate due to the warming presence of the Gulf Stream.
